對敘利亞動武？美國會意見分歧

【綜合報導】英國廣播公司（BBC）今報導，美國參議院已開始討論是否授權使用武力解決敘利亞，眾議院預計最快將在9月9日開議後對此表決。美國總統歐巴馬雖然希望國會力挺動武，但國會議員的看法卻趨向兩極。

來自維吉尼亞州的眾議員康諾利（Gerry Connolly）說，他瞭解為何英國國會要反對軍事行動，「伊拉克的陰影實在太過巨大」。不過他認為伊拉克與敘利亞的情況並不相同，「有限度的空襲會有效果」。

明尼蘇達州眾議員瓦爾茲（Tim Walz）則明確反對動武，當他跟家人說敘利亞總統阿塞德使用化武殺害許多兒童，他12歲女兒的回應是：「我們的炸彈也會傷害兒童啊。」瓦爾茲認為美軍的決策者並未把平民的傷亡放在心上，尤其是那些孩子們。
