據日本mynavi news網站報導，三星 Galaxy S4 Active於2013年6月公布於眾，在Galaxy S4的基礎上附加了防水性能。然而Galaxy S4 Active並沒有當時宣傳的那麼好，相關論壇上近日登載了Galaxy S4 Active水中操作按鍵失靈的報告，網上一時熱議。遇到問題的用戶事實上是手機行業的從業人員，他指出設備終端水中操作故障無保修，提醒廣大用戶注意。

三星 Galaxy S4 Active

根據環球網報導，Galaxy S4 Active於6月下旬在英國倫敦的Samsung Premier 2013 GALAXY & ATIV發布會上公布，並大量宣傳Galaxy S4 Active防水防塵等級達IP67。發布會上，把機子放入水槽中進行攝影，拿出水槽完好無損，仍可以觸屏操作。但是據The Droid Guy透露，7月下旬在XDA-Developers、Reddit等用戶論壇上，刊登了Active的故障報告，一些用戶懷疑Active或許並不具備在水深1公尺處正常運作30分鐘的IP67防水防塵等級。

在上述的XDA-Developers報告例子中，該用戶為給魚缸中的魚攝像，將Active沉入水中，並慢慢提起。然而幾分鐘後所有的按鍵，包括攝影按鍵及周圍的電源等按鍵，以及水中觸屏操作都失靈。值得一提的是，提供該報告的用戶是手機行業AT&T的從業人員，並強調事先都已做過必要的確認操作。該用戶作為從業人員指出，水下操作故障沒有保障，提醒廣大用戶注意。另外，在The Droid Guy上，有未經證實消息稱，AT&T可以為這些用戶提供個別換貨服務。

Mynavi news指出，日本為大眾所熟知的防水機，在海外才以Xperia為首例 剛剛興起，以後類似的例子還會增多，廣大用戶會繼續要求銷售商做出故障應對，並要求手機終端製造商進一步改善技術能力。
