草嶺古道山徑越野挑戰賽將在10月20日上午登場，分為15公里的「草嶺探索組」、10公里的「古道體驗組」，即日起至9月15日受理報名，額滿為止。

草嶺古道山徑越野挑戰賽由山河探險協會主辦，東北角暨宜蘭海岸國家風景區管理處協辦。草嶺古道是秋季賞芒知名景點，每年11月都會舉辦芒草季活動。選手除了享受跑山健身的快感，也可一路欣賞高高低低的芒花美景以及沿路的古蹟。

草嶺古道屬古清代淡蘭古道，是一條連接新北市遠望坑與宜蘭縣大里山區的步道，亦為目前僅存之歷史路段之一。途中有雄鎮蠻煙碑、虎字碑等古蹟，於賽道中、埡口及桃源谷支線上，可遠眺太平洋、龜山島，集歷史意義與絕佳之壯麗美景於一身，為難得一見之山徑越野賽完美路線。

越野挑戰賽採晶片計時，分兩組進行，分別是15公里的「草嶺探索組」（限額700人）、10公里的「古道體驗組」（限額800人）。競賽路線從東北角暨宜蘭海岸國家風景區管理處前廣場起跑，一路經虎字碑、埡口、桃源谷步道第二涼亭、埡口、最後抵達大里東北角遊客中心（天公廟旁）。

挑戰賽舉辦日期為10月20日（星期日），上午6時20分報到。即日起至9月15日受理報名，額滿為止。詳見報名簡章：http://www.ibodygo.com/web/online_reg/detail.asp?n=31
