87歲的古巴強人卡斯楚19日在國營報紙發表的長篇社論中說，他的弟弟、現任總統勞爾．卡斯楚在曼德拉追思會上與美國總統歐巴馬握手時，用英文自我介紹：「總統先生，我是卡斯楚。」

卡斯楚在社論中稱讚弟弟的「堅定與尊嚴，以友善但堅定的姿態，與美國政府元首打招呼，用英文說：『總統先生，我是卡斯楚。』」

勞爾．卡斯楚與歐巴馬握手，難免引起揣測，美國與古巴釋出和解訊息，但兩國官員都說，握手只是基於禮貌。
