澳昆州北部水面日前出現樣貌奇怪的物體，有當地人認為這是尼斯水怪『搬家』了。尼斯湖水怪是一千多年的傳言，因撲朔迷離而令人生畏，而在澳大利亞的海面上，也出現了像尼斯湖水怪一樣令人疑惑的物體。據澳大利亞新快網10月29日報導，澳大利亞昆士蘭州北部的磁島上周末出現了一宗怪事，在當地一名為野餐灣的水面上竟赫然出現了一個樣貌奇怪的東西。

據新華網報導，這一物體的突然出現立即引發了當地居民和遊客的熱烈討論和猜想，有人說是巨型的鳥類，也有人說不過是沉船。磁島居民赫倫當時抓拍了一張照片，他對自己能搶拍下這一動物或物體感到很高興，並且稱呼其為尼斯湖水怪。赫倫表示：『所有人都在指指點點，並且討論這究竟是什麼。有的人說看起來像尼斯湖水怪，還說可能是因為蘇格蘭最近太冷了，所以它決定到磁島來。』

不過最靠譜的解釋是因為退潮導致某艘沉船部分顯露在水面，而且有報導也指出，一周前曾有一艘龍舟在比賽期間在當地水域沉沒。不過無論這究竟是什麼，赫倫認為這對當地的旅遊業都是一筆財富，並且吸引了更多遊客前去一窺究竟。
