新埔逆子縱火燒死父　凶嫌求法官判死刑

【楊勝裕／新竹報導】今年元月15日新竹縣新埔鎮驚傳孽子縱火燒屋，62歲老翁林榮茂被活活燒死。新竹地院昨天召開審理庭，林家母子兩人到庭，遭押的林韋良淚流滿面向法官說：「希望法官判死刑，我也不想活了，無法再面對親人跟朋友，我不會上訴，只求回老父靈前下跪道歉。」
 
新竹地院法官針對新埔孽子縱火案，昨天召開審理庭，除凶嫌林韋良(32歲)由看守所押解出庭作證，也傳喚凶嫌母親及弟弟出庭作證。林嫌遭新竹地檢署依殺害直系尊親屬罪嫌起訴，可處死刑或無期徒刑，檢方要求從重量刑。新竹地院法官昨天針對縱火部份詳問林嫌，確認凶嫌有無殺人的故意。
 
林嫌之弟出庭作證，表示哥哥與媽媽吵架後，有打電話回家嗆聲「最好是全部都在家」，認為哥哥當時確有恐嚇要縱火的意圖了，但林嫌否認放火燒房子，僅承認放火，並沒有故意要燒掉房子。林母則哭得傷心拒絕作證，次子向法官轉達媽媽看法說「她有心臟病，禁不起打擊了。」盼法官不要再傳媽媽出庭作證。
