英國央行周三為未來的貨幣政策，提供了明確的長期指導原則，表示主要貸款利率將依舊守於記錄低點0.5%，直到英國失業率下降至7%。

此外，只要失業率仍高於7%，貨幣政策委員會判定應實施進一步振興措施，便將準備進一步購買資產。

英國央行並指出，目前無意縮減購買債券，直到失業率下降至低於7%的門檻。

英國FTSE-100指數先是上揚，但隨後下跌0.4%至6577.25。

英鎊下跌至1.5266美元，稍早高點為1.5362。
