華爾街日報報導，新加坡週一正式展開人民幣清算服務，匯豐及渣打兩大銀行已率先啟動它們在當地推出首批人民幣計價債券的發行計劃，以推動新加坡離岸人民幣業務的發展。據瞭解，匯豐銀行透過其新加坡分行發行2年期離岸人民幣債券，初步指導息率約2.25%。此外，渣打也發行3年期點心債，初步指導息率約3%。

匯豐及渣打今次發行的債券，將透過新加坡中央托管私人有限公司系統進行結算及交割，並均計劃在新加坡交易所上市。新加坡中央托管私人有限公司與國際上兩大債券結算及交收系統Euroclear及Clearstream已聯網。若成功發行，這將是新加坡啟動人民幣清算業務後，首批透過當地中央托管系統對人民幣計價債券進行結算及交割的債券。
