【時報-記者柯婉琇綜合外電報導】美國財報季打頭陣的美國鋁業（Alcoa）第四財季大幅虧損，因近來鋁價下跌，導致冶煉廠收購案的17億美元非現金減損支出。美鋁經一次性項目調整後的獲利不如分析師預期，並發布全球鋁金屬需求成長停滯的展望，盤後股價下跌4%。

美鋁向來都是標普500指數成分股中，第一家公布財報的企業，因鋁金屬的應用廣泛，美鋁的業績一直被視為景氣指標。

美鋁第四財季營收年減5.3%，至55.9億美元，優於市場平均預測的53.4億美元，減輕投資人對其財報的失望情緒。排除與1998~2000年間收購案相關的減損費用及其他特別項目，美鋁獲利為4000萬美元，每股盈餘4美分，較上年度同期的獲利6400萬美元、每股盈餘6美分下滑。

惟第四財季，美鋁淨損高達23.4億美元，每股虧損2.19美元，上年度同期為淨利2.42億美元，每股淨利21美分。分析師預期美鋁第四財季每股盈餘為6美分。

美鋁預期今年全球鋁金屬需求成長7%，與去年持平。

此外，美鋁周四同意支付3.84億美元，就旗下子公司向巴林政府官員行賄、非法贏得業務的指控取得和解。
