【短片】百年殯儀館歇業　雅虎執行長購入

【陳怡妏／綜合外電報導】美國媒體29日披露，雅虎美女執行長梅耶最近買下加州一家逾百年的殯儀館，但她並非想跨足殯葬事業，純粹是不想她居住的社區再蓋新房子。

加州帕洛阿爾托市（Palo Alto）歷史最悠久的殯儀館，31日將結束營業，正式走入歷史。不動產業界人士透露，殯儀館所在的1420坪土地，本月7日已易主，買主據說是住在隔壁街的雅虎（Yahoo）執行長梅耶（Marissa Mayer），成交金額不明，但估計至少值68.5萬美元（約2012萬元台幣）。

消息人士透露，梅耶買下殯儀館是想阻止興建新社區，該處土地原本規劃要改建成有21戶的新社區，附近的社區大多是供單親家庭或低收入戶居住。
