倉樓，在漢代是財富的象徵，更是漢代富庶和國泰民安的縮影。陶倉樓，作為漢代陪葬明器，新中國成立以來，焦作市已出土保存基本完好的陶倉樓100餘座，從而成為全大陸出土陶倉樓體量最大，類型最全、數量最多的地區，其中七層連閣彩繪陶倉樓，整體高1.99公尺，被認為是中國古代的『摩天大廈』，被譽為『華夏第一陶倉樓』。

根據大河網報導，昨(16)日，記者從焦作市文物局了解到，該市將投資2億元(以人民幣計價，以下同)，以漢代七層連閣彩繪陶倉樓為藍本，按1：1比例放大20倍，在南水北調渠畔建一座氣勢恢宏的陶倉樓博物館，把焦作最閃亮的文化符號陶倉樓作為文化地標工程加以建設，提高水系的文化內涵。

這是在焦作市博愛縣出土的七層連閣彩繪陶倉樓，陶倉樓博物館將以此為藍本建造。
