特大芭蕉「用尿澆的」

澎湖縣西嶼鄉農戶許太太，用尿和水澆芭蕉樹，果實竟和孩子的臉一樣長，是一般芭蕉的三倍重。鄰居嘖嘖稱奇說：「這麼大的芭蕉，吃一根就飽了！」許太太說沒特別照顧：「今年雨水多，芭蕉長得好吧！」
財團法人台灣香蕉研究所品種改良暨種苗培育組主任李淑英表示，這應是芭蕉類的粉蕉，產量高、果實大，除了基因與土壤營養條件適合、使用有機肥有關，研究所會派人與農民接洽，取得種原。李淑英說，粉蕉催熟後鬆軟微酸，冷凍後吃，口感似冰淇淋。
