【蔡裕隆／綜合報導】熱戰中的非洲男籃錦標賽，今晚爆出本屆最大冷門，預賽3連敗的埃及，以77比67撂倒預賽3連勝的衛冕軍突尼西亞，晉級8強賽，突尼西亞則只能打9至16名名次賽。
 
埃及為了備戰今年非錦賽，還到台灣參加瓊斯盃，並且擊敗地主雙雄中華隊與光華隊，陣中就讀美國明尼蘇達州大的21歲、203公分前鋒馬瑞(Assem Marei)，還獲選最佳5人，馬瑞此役拿下9分與8籃板。
 
埃及首節以19比15先聲奪人後，即一路壓著突尼西亞打，籃板以43比34佔盡優勢，包括16進攻籃板，是贏球關鍵，鋒衛搭檔卡里法(Haytham Khalifa)與艾爾加摩(Ibrahim El-Gammal)各轟19分，扮演致勝搭檔。
