【短片】紙糊大士爺現身　鎮壓普渡野鬼

【李宗祐／嘉義報導】相傳大士爺是觀世音菩薩的化身，在鬼月期間以頭生雙角、身穿紅甲、青面獠牙、口吐火焰之鬼王形體出現，鎮壓、普渡孤魂野鬼。「大士爺文化祭」是民雄鄉一年一度的宗教盛事，大士爺廟於今祭祀大典後，將紙糊大士爺供奉在廟裡。
 
有200多年歷史的民雄鄉大士爺廟，主祀神明「大士爺」（觀音大士），每年農曆7月21到23日普度祭典期間才以紙糊神尊出現，信眾也只有在這3天才看得到紙糊大士爺。
