（軍聞社記者方正屏東廿日電）「潭美」颱風海上警報發布後，國軍各作戰區成立應變中心， AAV7兩棲登陸突擊戰車今天依指示完成預置；其中，南部則派赴屏東枋山、恆春等地，隨時應急救援，確保民眾生命財產安全。

　海軍陸戰隊登陸戰車大隊上午接獲增援屏東地區災害防救任務，以及完成裝備檢整後，並與兩棲偵搜大隊官兵組成災防小組，中午一時自駐地裝載出發，分別前往國軍防空訓練中心及三軍聯訓基地部署，待命馳援救災。

　配屬二輛AAV7兩棲登陸突擊戰車及兩艘膠舟等十餘位官兵的災防小組，下午三時先後抵達預置營區，隨車人員立即冒雨完成下卸作業與裝備檢整，做好最佳救援的準備工作。
