國防部：4萬7千兵力待命救災

潭美颱風來襲，中央氣象局今天上午發佈海上颱風警報，預計下午發佈陸上颱風警報，在防颱準備上，國防部發言人羅紹和表示，國防部兵力已預化完成4.7萬名兵力，分別進駐蘇澳、嘉義等地，國防部會在災害預防工作上做好準備。

羅紹和表示，為了因應潭美颱風可能對台灣帶來災情影響，國軍已經預備4萬7千多名兵力，同時也準備8架S70C直升機、17架UH1H直升機、13架C130運輸機，另外今天下午，還會在蘇澳進駐4輛兩棲突擊車，北部下湖口營區也會有4輛兩棲突擊車進駐，嘉義地區也有2輛進駐。
