國研院：台灣基因改造鼠技術新突破

台灣產製基因改造鼠技術有新突破，國研院今天宣布，結合2項技術成功縮短開發時間，包括跨物種的豬、狗、猴子等動物未來都可適用。

國家實驗研究院今天舉行「啟動基因改造特快車－推動生醫新藥發展加速達陣」記者會。

國研院助理研究員蔡世傑表示，以傳統方式產製適當基因改造小鼠需2至3年，相當冗長，且只能針對小鼠進行基因改造。

蔡世傑指出，這次結合國研院動物中心發展的「CRISPR/Cas基因飛鏢技術」、大鼠胚顯微注射技術，成功縮短開發基因改造小鼠的時間。

他說，開發時間從原先3年縮短為3個月，而且還可快速產製基因改造大鼠，並適用於跨物種的豬、狗、猴子，可減少臨床前研究使用實驗動物的數量。
