（中央社記者曾依璇布魯塞爾9日專電）比利時研究團隊成功以脂肪幹細胞填充骨癌患者或有造骨障礙病患的骨骼，當地媒體指這是全球首創。

比利時「晚訊報」（Le Soir）報導，天主教魯汶大學（UCL）的技術研發告一段落，能以病患自己脂肪內的幹細胞製造人造骨頭。

這項技術是為了特殊病患設想，尤其適用部分罹患骨癌的孩童和有造骨障礙的病患，這個方法可填充他們缺失的骨頭部分。

這些幹細胞須先培養、繁殖3個月，才能移植到病患不足的骨頭部分。

魯汶大學附設診所的細胞及組織治療中心協調人杜帆（Denis Dufrane）說，以往骨骼移植需要金屬片連接，容易骨折，病患的日常生活品質不佳。

人們研究骨髓幹細胞多年，但造骨效果令人失望，研究因此轉向其他幹細胞，發現脂肪比骨髓含有500倍之多的幹細胞，是很好的造骨材料。

杜帆說，研究團隊先用豬隻做動物實驗，顯示移植到骨骼缺口的幹細胞可填充缺口，其後在11名病患身上採用這項技術，所有人的骨頭都恢復了，也不再苦於骨折，生活品質大大改善。1030109
