新竹縣政府昨天與天主教新竹教區聯手舉辦「新竹縣耶誕點燈」活動，縣長邱鏡淳與主教李克勉帶大家踩街遊行，沿街發送糖果後，晚間點亮府前廣場耶誕樹，漸層式的金黃色燈泡耶誕樹，吸引不少民眾搶著合影，讓竹縣提前充滿銀白色耶誕氣氛。
