英國轉租福利房 或被判坐牢兩年

【大紀元2013年10月29日訊】(大紀元記者李琳英國報導)近日，英國通過了新的法律，把政府福利房以高價轉租出去、從中獲利的房客可能會被判坐牢兩年，還要被罰款。

新通過的《防止社會住房欺詐法案》首次把英格蘭轉租政府福利房的做法視為刑事案件，欺詐者需要坐牢、被罰款。政府估計轉租福利房的做法使英國納稅人每年損失18億鎊，同時還使排隊等候福利房的隊伍越來越長。新的法律還使社會住房的管理公司有權收回轉租的收益。

政府官員估計，目前英格蘭有大約10萬棟社會住房被房客以高價轉租。此前，被發現轉租福利房的人只需交還鑰匙就可以了，但是他們可以從中獲得很多收益，因為在市中心的福利房向政府房客收取的租金很低，但是面對私人出租的房租卻會很高。
