大統黑心油事件爆發後，許多民眾都急著要退貨，退費電話打不停，行政院消保處也找來各大賣場，研議消費者退換貨方式，不料卻傳出有民眾拿著油桶退貨卻遭到刁難。就有民眾氣憤批評，認為大統根本沒誠意，消費者求償無門。

日前台中、高雄等地都有民眾投訴，拿空油瓶去超市想要退貨，店員卻表示一定要有發票，否則只能憑卡調閱交易紀錄，才能辦理退款，民眾氣憤難平痛批，買到黑心油就已經很不開心，現在要退貨又要遭到刁難，業者根本沒誠意，消費者求償無門。

根據報導指出，不少賣場一開始都同意，民眾只要憑發票或是瓶身都可以退費，不過由於退換貨的人潮實在太多，就有賣場表示，光這4天退貨的錢，就相當於1個月跟大統進貨的金額，因為擔心呆帳問題，才會決定一定要有發票，確認是自家售出的才能退款。

行政院消保處找來各大賣場、超市研議消費者退貨方式，各大賣場也提出退貨規則。大潤發表示，只要有發票或會員購買紀錄，沒有商品也沒關係，若是沒有發票，就必須帶著商品，並登記個人資料；家樂福則是只要有發票，或是查得到購買紀錄，沒有商品也可以退。

全聯、頂好方面則表示，民眾一定要持商品加上發票，才能辦理退款；松青方面則指出，若消費者沒有發票只有商品，確認與國際條碼符合的話，還是可以退貨。
