住地受擠壓　美國唐人街瀕臨消失

【簡嘉宏╱綜合外電報導】根據一份報告指出，美國新的華人移民已住不起位於城市中心的唐人街，美國唐人街面臨逐漸消失的危險。

根據亞裔美國人法律保護和教育基金會（Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund，又稱亞美援助處）9日所發表的最新研究報告指出，對很多亞裔美國人來說，唐人街是傳統和歷史不可或缺的一部分，但目前，美國各地唐人街越來越受到高級住宅、連鎖店以及體育場館和會議中心等大型公共項目的擠壓，「如果這種趨勢繼續下去，唐人街可能最終走向滅絕」。

執筆的專職李律師（Bethany Li）說，「當初唐人街的存在具有飽受歧視的歷史因素，但即使在今天，很多華裔新移民還是依賴唐人街提供的資源和非正式網絡。」
