台灣目前還有34萬不識字人口

內政部公布最新全國教育程度分析顯示，台灣識字率竟輸給北韓。識字率98.29%，全國還有34萬不識字人口，識字率在亞洲也僅占第4位。

內政部表示，我國識字率在全世界約排名第52名。我國年輕人，在15至29歲人口，幾乎已無不識字者。

內政部最新公布「全國教育分析」顯示，亞洲國家識字率最高分別是日本、南韓、北韓，均在99%左右；台灣高於中國大陸的95.9%，也高於新加坡的94.7%、香港的94.6%。
