　　根據美國「華盛頓郵報（The Washington Post）」報導，《決勝時刻（Call of Duty）》和《魔獸世界（World of Warcraft）》等知名遊戲發行商 Activision Blizzard 將針對今年年初美國總統歐巴馬所提出的「2013 暴力內容研究法案（ The Violent Content Research Act of 2013

）」，雇用全球大型法律顧問公司 Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld 作為己方遊說代表，以維護自身龐大利益。

　　Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld 為全球最大的律師事務所之一，更為美國最富盛名的遊說機構之一。根據近日美國遊說登記記錄（http://1.usa.gov/18JnR9v）上，的確可見 Activision Blizzard 雇用該事務所來維護自身利益。即便上頭為標明確切遊說目的，但華盛頓郵報指出，這將是針對「2013 暴力內容研究法案」所採取的行動。

　　今年年初，美國康乃狄克州新鎮（Newtown）槍擊事件，造成 20 名孩童以及 6 名成年人不幸身亡的慘劇，而犯下新鎮屠殺的兇手 Adam Lanza 更被稱為十分熱衷於暴力遊戲的「瘋狂遊戲玩家（deranged gamer）」。總統歐巴馬隨後決定撥出大筆經費並研擬研究計畫，期盼找出暴力行為與電玩遊戲間的關聯性。

　　該計畫已獲民主黨和共和黨二黨支持，但仍未獲得商業上的普遍認同。美國娛樂消費者協會（The Entertainment Consumers Association）即於上月發起示威活動，全面抵制調查法案。
