中秋節即將到來，一家烤肉萬家香，今年烤肉夯「桶仔雞」，皮脆、肉嫩、味香又汁多，連農委會主委陳保基也忍不住一聞再聞、大口吃肉，更號召萬人在中秋節來場桶仔雞大會，享受烤土雞的美味。

表面呈現金黃色、口感香嫩多汁的桶仔雞，用烤桶或甕窯密閉燜烤的方式，鎖住國產土雞的肉汁，並將多餘油脂逼出，不僅能夠均勻將桶仔雞外皮烤至金黃閃亮的色澤，外皮口感香脆且肉質鮮美多汁。

中華民國養雞協會理事長王錦田表示，國產土雞肉質保水度高、汁多味美有彈性，飼養期長達12週以上，化身為香噴噴的「桶仔雞」，更有別於傳統碳火烤肉的油膩與高熱量。

為推廣美味的超「夯」桶仔雞，養雞協會推出「夯雞桶樂會」活動，邀請全台11縣市民眾在中秋節萬人夯桶仔雞南北串連大會烤；另外，將於11月9日在新北市立體育場舉辦千人桶仔雞大會烤與PK賽活動，選出首屆的「夯桶仔雞王」。
