【陳方瑩／南投報導】南投縣埔里鎮成功里種瓜路今天發生機車摔落野溪意外，造成一死一重傷。警方初步了解，下午3時許，男子顏瑞祥（75歲）騎排檔車，載嫂嫂彭梅英（76歲）經過住家附近農路，疑為閃避橋頭的泥地，騎得太靠近路肩，連人帶車摔落2公尺餘深野溪中，彭女頭部重創，當場無生命跡象、顏男頭部受傷，意識清醒，送埔里基督教醫院急救中。
 
成功里長彭榮華指出，彭女去年因身體不適，曾走路摔到同一條野溪上游處，經搶救撿回一命，沒想到今年還是命喪野溪。二名老人的子女都在外地，已通知趕回埔里處理，肇事原因由警方調查中。
