世青賽爆冷　澳洲擊敗衛冕冠軍美國

【王翊亘／台中報導】美國職棒大聯盟培育出來的棒球選手，反過來擊敗美國！澳洲隊今天在IBAF世青賽預賽大爆冷門，靠著3名投手輪番上陣，僅讓美國及出5支安打，以1比0擊敗衛冕冠軍美國。
 
澳洲青棒隊是由澳洲大聯盟棒球學院所培育，而大聯盟棒球學院是美國職棒大聯盟與澳洲棒協建置，可以說這批澳洲隊隊員，就是由美國一手培育而成，沒想到卻在世青賽中擊敗自己。
 
澳洲隊先發投手索普(Lewis Thrope)，先發5.2局投出8次三振，未失1分；先發三壘手凱諾利(Sam Kennelly)4打數2安打，得到的1分就是致勝分。甘那可是澳洲國家隊常客凱諾利兄弟提姆‧凱諾利(Tim Kennelly)、麥特‧凱諾利(Matt Kennelly)的弟弟，凱諾利說：「能擊敗美國隊實在太棒了，很高興我得到的這1分能幫助球隊贏球。」
