　　SQUARE ENIX 於 2013 年 9 月 2 日宣布，將會於 12 月 5 日推出 N3DS 角色扮演遊戲《Bravely Default: For the Sequel》，實體版售價 4990 日圓。另外，持有前作《Bravely Default》的玩家將可以獲得折扣，以 2900 日圓的售價購入下載版的《Bravely Default: For the Sequel》。
　　新作是以 2012 年 10 月發售的 N3DS 角色扮演遊戲《Bravely Default: Flying Fairy》為基礎，追加新要素以及改善超過 100 項系統內容的強化版本。同時，也強調玩家將可以在新作中搶先體驗預定在目前開發中的「續篇」登場的 Bravely ＆ Default 新系統，將帶來全面翻新的遊戲介面和更順暢節奏的戰鬥，來呈現更加完美的遊戲體驗。

　　遊戲以「成長與冒險的故事」王道路線為主軸，玩家要扮演「光之戰士」打倒怪獸，整頓角色裝備，並使之成長的正統派角色扮演遊戲。而戰鬥系統也採用《Final Fantasy（ファイナ ルファンタジー）》系列中的職業轉換系統（ジョブチェンジシステム）。
