民進黨立委陳其邁與高雄市議員鄭新助今（22）日上午赴台中監獄，探視前總統陳水扁。陳其邁接受NOWnews《今日新聞》訪問表示，陳水扁的手抖得更嚴重，而尿失禁的問題，經醫院檢查、吃藥仍未改善，他認為阿扁可能需要開刀治療小便的問題。
陳其邁指出，他今天上午跟鄭新助一起去看陳水扁，會面約半小時，而阿扁第一句話就問「颱風災情如何，嚴不嚴重？」他說，陳水扁很關心災情，擔心淹水影響民眾的生活。
陳其邁表示，陳水扁相當關心政局，知道民進黨將召開8年執政的研討會，還提到報紙有一篇社論《馬總統的黃金十年，會變黃土十年？》，比較扁馬在經濟方面的執政成績，內容還算公允。
陳其邁指出，由於陳水扁再入黨申請已成功，阿扁特別跟大家道謝，讓他重回民進黨。
陳其邁說，陳水扁講話的時候，雖然精神有好一些，但口吃一樣嚴重、口齒不清；陳水扁也提到白天容易嗜睡，睡眠呼吸中止的症狀也沒改善，以及尿失禁嚴重。
陳其邁轉述，陳水扁問他，若尿失禁情況在吃藥後仍沒改善，是不是要開刀，而他回答：「是的，要開刀治療。」
另外，陳其邁在臉書表示，「不管阿扁如何，他永遠是我心目中的台灣總統！離開牢門時，我向他深深一鞠躬。」
