民進黨立法院黨團1日傍晚發動突襲，40位立委衝進立法院議場，全體夜宿立法院。前民進黨主席蔡英文則派人在晚間9時許，送刈包、四神湯和冰棒，為夜宿立委加油打氣。

由於議場內部沒有冷氣，又悶又熱，民進黨立委紛紛換上輕薄的短袖，還拿起大毛巾擦汗。立委劉建國看到冰，一口氣吃了2支；黨團總召柯建銘拉了張椅子到門口，吃起冰棒。

立委陳明文偶爾走到門外透氣，看到記者就說，「裡面很熱！」他還不忘推銷立委林淑芬買的南部口味肉粽很好吃，共吃了2顆粽。

不過，陳明文也強調，裡面這麼熱，這是意志力的奮戰，如果國民黨耐得了熱，就衝進來試試看。
