明星賽三先發開轟 金鶯擊倒藍鳥

原本期待是王建民與陳偉殷本季首度碰頭的系列賽首戰，結果王建民提前到3A，無緣進行「建殷會」，但金鶯砲火依舊猛烈，以三發全壘打共打下八分，轟倒藍鳥先發投手伯利 (Mark Buehrle )，終場以8比5獲勝。

開轟的三人都獲選今年明星賽的美聯先發名單，包括首度參加全壘打大賽的戴維斯 (Chris Davis )，把這場當成是全壘打大賽提前登場。

戴維斯是在二局擊出大聯盟本季最多的第35轟，打進兩分，在大聯盟史上只有三位選手在明星賽前的全壘打數比他多，分別是2001年邦茲(Barry Bonds)的39轟、1998年麥奎爾 (Mark McGwire)與1969 年傑克森 (Reggie Jackson)同為37轟。

接著瓊斯 (Adam Jones)在三局打出第17發的三分彈，哈迪 (J.J.Hardy) 在六局也送第16轟，也是三分進帳。

藍鳥從金鶯投手提爾曼 (Chris Tillman)手中擊出兩轟，但只打進三分，投手仍以六局失三分的優質內容，拿下本季第11勝。
