台灣網球一哥盧彥勳在溫布頓網球錦標賽男單首輪中，在前兩盤對上世界第219地主英國球員瓦德(J.Ward)打成1比1平手下，第三盤雙方打出膠著大戰，盧彥勳在瓦德前五個發球局中有四局都有絕佳破發機會，但沒想到多達9個破發點都沒能破發成功，反倒在第10局被逼出3個盤末點，幸好盧彥勳神勇扳回，兩人得再度靠搶七定勝負，盧彥勳再度又先被拿下前2分，一度以3比6落後，但沒想到盧彥勳再扳回6個盤末點，雙方一來一往，盧彥勳終於在第5個盤末點才拿下，第三盤搶七以13比11驚險拿下，讓盧彥勳暫時以2比1領先。
