紐約警方證實，紐約市長彭博收到兩封含有蓖麻毒素的恐怖郵件。由於信件中提及槍枝管制，估計應該是對彭博大力推動槍枝嚴格控管不滿。

紐約警方今天表示，彭博（Michael Bloomberg）是在上週收到這兩封匿名信，其中一封寄到紐約市房屋保護和發展部的信函，於24日被市政府郵件處理中心人員打開；另一封則寄到彭博在華府的非營利機構「反對非法槍枝市長聯合會」。

由於信件內含威脅字眼，為確保安全，行政人員立即將信件送交檢測，並證實上頭確實含有少量的蓖麻毒素。

警方表示，這兩封信的受件者都是彭博，信件中也提及槍枝管制議題，相信與彭博大力推動更嚴格的槍枝管制有關。
