| 左營萬年季 最大火獅餅點睛

〔自由時報記者王榮祥／高雄報導〕直徑一百公分、歷來最大的火獅餅昨亮相，宣告左營萬年季活動訂於十月十二日登場，市長陳菊親自替火獅餅「點睛」、祝福萬年季順利，並誠摯邀請全國民眾來高雄「鬥鬧熱」。
明末鄭成功逐退荷蘭人後，在左營地區設萬年縣，在地廟宇宗教慶典活動遂被稱作「萬年季」，其中最具特色的當屬迓火獅，另有攻炮城、火獅餅等；高市府從民國九十年整合相關活動為「左營萬年季」，堪稱高雄代表性傳統活動之一，並藉此帶動蓮池潭觀光休憩，今年邁入第十三屆。
