| 小四童戒指卡手指紅腫 求助消防隊

【鄧惠珍／彰化報導】彰化縣小四陳姓男童今天將女同學送的白鐵戒指戴在右手食指上，卻因為太緊拔不下來，還開始紅腫疼痛，男童父親趕緊將他送到附近的消防隊花壇分隊求救，消防隊員李錫欽、張恩得先幫男童手指墊上塑膠墊片、花不到3 分鐘終將戒指以斜口鉗剪斷取下。
男童在警消剪斷戒指時倒吸了好幾口氣，還小小聲唉了一下，但警消還是稱讚男童很勇敢，完全沒有喊痛也沒哭。

【蔡裕隆／綜合報導】NBA台裔之星林書豪備戰明天下午1點30分的NBA台北賽，昨晚忙裡偷閒和家人與朋友去釣蝦，還舉行釣蝦比賽，但是林書豪只釣到3隻，名列最後1名，「豪爸」林繼明則拿第1名，釣到12隻。

| 蟑螂短跑大賽 第13屆開跑

【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】美國威斯康辛州一間蟲蟲管理公司「Batzner Pest Management」每年都會舉辦蟑螂短跑大賽，今年已經邁入第13年，勝者已在昨日揭曉。
該公司表示，他們會為蟑螂分組並進行個別特訓，平時餵食狗食和萵苣給這些蟑螂們吃，希望牠們能頭好壯壯，贏得2公尺賽程的比賽。最後的贏家可得500美元(約新台幣15000元)，不過這500美元並非讓蟑螂「吃到飽」，而是會捐做公益用途，代表拿到第一名的榮耀。
