| 三總治療十三歲鼻咽癌患者 術後狀況良好

（軍聞社記者陳映竹臺北廿四日電）三軍總醫院鼻喉部主任朱永祥今天在醫療成果發表會中指出，該院收治兩位年僅十三歲的青少年，因出現耳朵悶、頭痛以及頸部出現一到二公分腫塊，經切片後證實罹患鼻咽癌，經過放射化學治療後，目前病情追蹤狀況良好。
朱永祥表示，根據國民健康局的統計，鼻咽癌是男性癌症發生率的第十二名，發病的平均年齡是四十九歲，每年臺灣約有一千一百多人罹患；頸部腫塊是鼻咽癌最常見的症狀之ㄧ，是因癌症轉移至淋巴結所引起，通常不會痛，而會慢慢的長大，有的症狀則是長期鼻塞或流鼻血、痰中帶血、耳朵悶漲感及中耳積液等，少數甚至會出現頭痛、複視等狀況。
