中國湖北一名5歲女孩王文萱，5月2日遭意外倒坍的腳架壓倒，顱內大量出血，救治3天後不治。悲痛的父母決定捐出女兒的器官，經過同濟醫院器官移植專家的摘除手術，目前王文萱的雙腎、肝臟和兩個眼角膜已順利移植到5人身上。

王文萱也成為湖北省第44例、也是年齡最小的一例器官捐贈者。為表達對這個家庭的崇敬，襄陽市鐵路中心醫院決定免去2.3萬元人民幣醫療費。
