波拉斯早在2009年就曾和陳偉殷接觸過，經長期追蹤評估後，總算在今年達成共識，其實波拉斯很早就將觸角伸向亞洲，當年日籍投手松坂大輔，以天價5110萬美元（約15.17億台幣）入札金、6年5200萬美元（約15.44億台幣）合約加盟美職紅襪隊，就是他的傑作。

韓籍的秋信守、李學周、尹錫珉，到今年以約2570萬美元（約7.61億台幣）入札金赴美，並獲得道奇6年3600萬美元（約10.69億台幣）豐厚合約的柳賢振等，也都是他旗下亞洲球星。

至於台灣部分，波拉斯最早接手的是曹錦輝，正式進軍台灣則從2007年的林哲瑄開始，在發現台灣球員潛力無窮下，近來積極拓展台灣區域業務，光是這兩年就簽下林子偉、陽耀勳、陳偉殷等一流選手，即將在6月份畢業的超級高中生曾仁和，更是超級經記人波拉斯下一個鎖定目標。（記者林世民）
