《華爾街日報》周二 (7日) 報導，蘋果 (Apple Inc.)(AAPL-US) 的 iPhone 和 iPad 銷售蓬勃熱絡，應用程式收入亦持續增長，公司現初次公開宣布，去 (2013) 年期間透過應用程式商店 App Store 獲得的營收，已超過 100 億美元。

這一里程碑反映出蘋果產品的良性循環，平板、智慧手機熱賣帶動消費者購買應用程式，或使用更多程式內部付費功能，同時強化用戶對應 iOS 系統平台的關係，增添日後用戶再購買蘋果設備的可能性。

蘋果 9 月結束的財務年度中，App Store 營收相對於 iPhone 產生的 910 億美元巨大收入顯得微不足道，但在公司整體營收成長放緩的當下，它仍保持迅速成長。

12 月份是 App Store 營收表現最好的一個月，下載次數將近 30 億次，且產生營收超過 10 億美元。早由 2008 年迄今，應用程式開發商已從 App Store 賺取 150 億美元收入，代表整體程式營收額約超過 210 億美元。

蘋果稱去年促進營收最多的應用程式，包括 Ellen DeGeneres 開發的「Heads Up!」遊戲、ProtoGeo Oy 的「Move」卡路里計步器、Simon Filip 的「Afterlight」特效影像編輯軟體，以及來自 Kevin Ng 的「Impossible Road」遊戲等等。

目前 App Store 應用程式數量超過 100 萬款，分類五花八門包括新聞、遊戲、體育、旅遊等各種項目。
