《交通》台61線最後一段定案，108年完工

【時報-台北電】西濱快速公路（台61線）員林大排至西濱大橋新建工程計畫環差今天審查，此路線從83年開始規畫，因為當地居民及環保人士擔心衝擊候鳥棲息地及生態，停工近20年。經過多次協調，開發單位決定在芳苑候鳥最多的棲息地，將路線往內陸移200、300公尺，當地多為廢棄魚塭，對鳥類生態衝擊較小。

公路總局西濱中工處設計課課長莊江隆表示，此段路段完工，將完成中部公路最後一段拼圖，此路段從王功到大城總計11公里長，預計花費120億預算，預計108年完成。莊江隆指出，此路線與中山高平行，加上國道計程收費制度上路，預計全線通車後，可大量分擔中山高的車流量。（新聞來源：中時即時湯雅雯）
