緬甸記者遊行 要新聞自由

緬甸記者網協會近一百五十名媒體工作者七日在最大城仰光遊行，抗議一名同業因報導貪腐新聞而入獄。這是緬甸自三年前結束軍事統治之後的第一件媒體抗議遊行事件。

緬甸女記者馬凱妮（Ma Khine）疑因報導司法系統貪腐的文章遭判刑入獄三個月，上月中判決確定後已引起緬甸當地媒體及國際媒體議論。七日，一百五十名緬甸記者走上街頭揮舞標語「停止威脅新聞自由」、「知的權利是民主的生命」。

馬凱妮在緬甸東部耶邦首府壘固報導時被指控誹謗一名律師，訪問時侵害這名律師的財產，而且出言不遜。若一般人遇到相同判決，並不會入獄；她的老闆認為，馬凱妮可能因為報導司法體系貪腐的新聞，早遭鎖定。

緬甸去年在世界新聞自由指數排名上升十八名，但也只是由第一六九名上升到第一五一名。
