嘉義市興業西路出租公寓大樓今天傍晚發生一氧化碳中毒事件，已確認5人都是嘉義大學學生，穆姓男生與林姓女生送醫不治，其他3人還在搶救，另一名楊姓女生去參加跨年活動，逃過一劫。

嘉市消防隊表示，這間出租公寓疑陽台加蓋，熱水器就安在陽台上，疑通風不良釀禍。五人都是一氧化碳中毒。
