蔬菜也聽佛經 有機農：特別綠

屏東高樹農民鍾英杰篤信佛教，他發願要種有機蔬菜，還把菜園取名「阿彌陀佛有機農場」。他堅持只用有機肥料，不灑農藥，他把會吃蚜蟲的小鳥綠繡眼引入菜園，一舉解決菜蟲問題。

鍾英杰10年前和朋友在高樹鄉合夥買了兩公頃農地，種植各類葉菜，並經成功大學驗證，目前為有機轉型期。他在菜園工作時會播放佛經，「也和蔬菜分享佛經」，他說，蔬菜一起聽佛經，好像長得特別綠。

他表示，有機蔬菜除施用有機肥外，絕不使用農藥。除利用綠繡眼吃蟲外，他還打算讓綠繡眼直接在菜園裡孵蛋，「讓牠們直接生活在菜園，達到生態平衡、防治的效果。」

他認為，有機蔬菜是現代人飲食需求，生產供應安全的有機蔬菜，消費者吃到有益身心的菜，就如佛陀所講的「極樂世界」。
