（中央社記者張建中新竹2013年12月17日電）工研院今天發表無線群播串流技術，可讓網路頻寬支援的行動終端數量大增10倍以上，將有助行動影音業者創造更大商機。

工研院表示，隨著4G時代來臨，行動影音服務將蓬勃發展；頻寬有效分配是4G行動影音發展重要關鍵。

工研院指出，新開發的無線群播串流技術利用一對多的多點傳輸原理，將頻寬有效分配，提高頻寬使用效率，解決網路頻寬分配不均的難題。

在網路頻寬1Mbps至1.5Mbps情況下，工研院表示，一般無線單播技術，網路頻寬最多僅可支援11台行動裝置；若採用無線群播串流技術，網路頻寬可支援多達120台以上行動裝置。

工研院指出，無線群播串流技術是以軟體為核心，不須特別改變硬體設備就能使用，除有助行動影音及大眾運輸業者節省網路設備建置成本，還可提供創新影音服務，創造更大商機。
