中國科學院月球與太空探測總體部副主任鄒永廖表示，大陸開展探月工程以來，包括台灣、香港、澳門的科學家都積極參與，大陸也是一直歡迎的，也支持他們參與我們的工作。

他說，2006年由科工局成立大陸繞月探測工程科學家專家委員會的時候，即有台、港、澳的科學家參加進來，他們也參加了2010年的研究項目，取得了非常好的成果，未來在嫦娥五號探月工程上，他們也將肩負各項研究任務。
