基隆黃色小鴨原先主打的利器「360度旋轉」，如今計畫生變，發起人黃景泰今晚8點發出致各大媒體的公開信，表示策展單位想出的創意，因與原創者霍夫曼設計有牴觸，決定取消，對鴨迷期待落空，致歉。

黃景泰今晚表示，基隆黃色小鴨是一個全球公認象徵快樂、幸福，深具療癒功能的藝術作品，是景泰經過積極邀請、爭取後才取到主辦權。

因小鴨360度旋轉計畫，與原創者霍夫曼的簡單、平靜的藝術創作理念相左，幾經思索，為尊重原創者，決定忍痛取消小鴨旋轉的裝置，接下來的50天展期，基隆黃色小鴨將會以最自然平靜，純真無邪的姿態在基隆港與大家溫馨相伴。
