【楊逸民、賴德剛／台北報導】今年王建民在大、小聯盟浮沉，許多球迷都認為他不可能再站穩大聯盟，但建仔不向命運低頭，想要再留在美國拚上大聯盟機會，他說：「我給自己再2年時間，只要有任何機會，我都會想去試試。」

2009年動肩部手術，建仔說：「當時醫生告訴我，這樣的手術，大概只有5%機會能再回大聯盟，20%的機會能重返球場。」當時確實讓建仔感到挫折，但建仔說：「我就是想去突破這個障礙，證明自己可以再重回大聯盟。」

建仔表示，這2年期間，只要是有機會可以回大聯盟，他都願意去試，他說：「就算有球隊給我小聯盟合約，我也願意接受。」
