已經關門的英國「世界新聞報」當年的許多獨家消息都是靠竊聽名人電話，或花錢跟知情的人買來的。

　倫敦法院正在審理涉嫌僱人竊聽，花錢買獨家的「世界新聞報」前執行長「利百加布魯克絲」、前編輯「柯森」和他們一年花十萬英鎊，四百五十萬台幣雇用駭客「馬凱」。

　「馬凱」十分稱職，他不但偷聽到了威廉王子在英國陸軍官校，遭空包擊中的通話，還聽到哈利王子請私人秘書幫他找資料寫論文的消息。

　兩千零六年，「布魯克絲」擔任太陽報編輯的時候，還花了四千英鎊跟一名在場的士兵，購買威廉王子，打扮成兔女郎的照片，登上報紙，增加報份。

實際上，他們不只給士兵錢買消息，英國國防部官員、警察也都拿過他們的錢。
