波多黎各瀕臨破產 下個底特律?

波多黎各債台高築，逐漸逼近破產邊緣，使這個加勒比海小島可能淪為下一個底特律或希臘。

國內生產毛額（GDP）僅960億美元的波多黎各，債務占GDP比率高達91%。波多黎各同時還面臨經濟停滯的困境，被市政債投資人視為另一個即將爆炸的問題。

Janney資本投資公司策略師桑克爾說，投資波多黎各債券將面臨重大風險。

他說，波多黎各的最大阻礙是缺乏成長，經濟活動指數已陷入萎縮，增稅也會妨礙經濟成長，政府未能課徵到約40%的潛在稅收，因為地下經濟規模龐大。

波多黎各經濟2006年起陷入衰退，且每況愈下，2012年到2013年間萎縮約6%。
