金門老木棉有恙 縣府將保護

（中央社記者陳守國金門29日電）金門縣金城鎮總兵署後方的百年木棉樹，今天經林務局專家以聲波儀診斷發現內部有問題，縣府將劃設保護範圍，並修剪細枝。

這株總兵署後院的「金門樹王」傳聞有400年樹齡，可能是全台最老的木棉樹，縣府建設處納入珍貴樹木保護，也是遊客遊賞的景點。

縣府林務所調查，木棉樹主幹直徑93公分，主幹有7枝大副枝及無數細枝，樹高21公尺，樹冠幅達423平方公尺，與總兵署前庭的3株老榕樹前後輝映，為古蹟增添風情。

縣府秘書長盧志輝今天率同縣觀光處、縣林務所長楊慧明，以及林務局等相關單位人員，勘查老木棉樹，並以聲波儀診察樹木發現內部約10%有問題，並提出保護建議。

盧志輝表示，木棉樹根部將劃定範圍，避免遊客踏實泥土，影響木棉根部呼吸順暢；修剪細枝，減輕樹幹承擔重量。

盧志輝等人也勘查總兵署的木構建築，初步發現這座民國88年整修後的建築部分木料被蛀蝕、部分油漆斑駁，即指示縣府觀光處、文化局修補；並指示觀光處通盤檢查後提出整修計畫。1021029
